SOMOS PEQUEÑAS

SINOPSIS

Zara, una joven seri que canta en la iglesia evangelista de su comunidad, propone a Celika participar en un concurso de rap. Su amiga acepta, pero la noche del concierto los planes cambian cuando Celika decide seguir un impulso urgente de libertad.

SYNOPSIS
Zara, a young Seri woman who sings in the evangelist church of her community, asks Celika to participate in a rap contest. Her friend accepts, but plans change the night of the concert, when Celika decides to follow her urge of freedom.

PALABRAS DEL DIRECTOR

Somos pequeñas parte de un híbrido de historias que me contaron varias mujeres de la etnia seri de Punta Chueca, Sonora. Esos relatos se vincularon a mi deseo de escuchar las voces de las mujeres que con su canto logran expandir el espacio que las comprime para encontrar un momento de libertad.

DIRECTOR STATMENT

We are small comes from a hybrid of stories that were told to me by several women of the Seri ethnic group from Punta Chueca, Sonora. These stories are linked to my desire for listening to the voices of the women who have managed to expand the space that compresses them, through their singing, in order to find a moment of freedom.
